Inspired by the Xibelani worn by Xitsonga women, the Tutu 2.0 pendant light is a splendid representation of cultural celebration. Voted Most Beautiful Object in South Africa in 2018 and winning multiple awards. The Tutu 2.0 has been acquired by Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris as a part of the museum’s permanent collection.
Winner of the Nando’s Hot Young Designer Talent Search competition in 2015, Mash.T Design Studio is the product of Thabisa Mjo, a South African designer collaborating with crafters and other designers to create sustainable and collaborative product designs that exhibit traditional African aesthetics and skills including weaving and beading.
